Junior Director of Football Chris Bryson calls time on his involvement at Takapuna FC.

The club confirms the departure of Junior Director of Football Chris Bryson. Chris has been a long standing member of the Takapuna FC family and, his energy and enthusiasm for kids football has endeared him to our young footballers and parents for almost 7 years.  

Chris leaves Takapuna FC to take up a new position ‘over the bridge’ and the club wishes him well in this new endeavour and extend our sincere thanks to him for the massive contribution that he has made.

Club President Glyn Taylor said “Chris will leave ‘big boots’ to fill. He has been fundamental to the club’s junior football and has been responsible for starting so many kids off on their football journey. Chris will still be involved over the next few weeks of Summer 5’s and will continue to play his football here so he will continue to be a familiar and welcome face around the club. We will of course be moving to appoint a new Junior Director to ensure that there is no disruption to the club’s preparation for the 2024 season and an announcement will follow shortly.”

Chris, on his decision to leave Takapuna said “as I bid farewell to this wonderful community, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. It has been an incredible journey coaching the children, watching the club grow and working alongside dedicated parents. It's been an absolute privilege. Thank you"
